Icarus is a hero from Cherry City. He teamed up with Antiman and together solved cold cases. Tired of being considered a sidekick, Icarus banded former members of The Bridge City Pizza Bandits to create The Bridge City Beta Males. With his team at his side, Icarus wages a war against feminism and those who did not date him.
Creation and concept #
Icarus is based of the Real-Life Superhero, “Icarus.” Icarus was once The Blue Blaze, who tried out for the television program, Who wants to be a Superhero?
Publication History #
Icarus, along with Antiman, starred in their own story, Antiman and Icarus sees a shrink, in Naked Man Comics #5. In Naked Man Comics #7, Icarus joins the rest of the male Rose City heroes in a song.
In The Bridge City Beta Males, Icarus is revealed to be the new leader of the Bridge City Pizza Bandits. The group dropped the Pizza Bandit for Beta Males.
In Naked Man Comics #10, Icarus teams up with Pie-Man and The Reverend to form The Bridge City Beta Males. The Victim was a member until he was killed in an unfortunate adult activity accident. Icarus destroys the coffee café, The Spritely Bean. The heroes of Rose City turn to Antiman to stop Icarus. Zetaman and Antiman reveal that Antiman has difficulty with his sidekicks. Antiman used the sidekick app, Chummies, to find new helpers. All Antiman’s sidekicks become villains, including Icarus. Antiman hunts down Icarus in the Hawthorne District of Rose City. There, Antiman fight Pie-Man and The Reverend. Both heroes turn villain accidently falls into a vat of hot cooking fat. Antiman finally apprehends Icarus. Deciding that everyone needs friends, Totally Naked Man reforms The Alternates, along with a Headquarters in Downtown Rose City.
Character Overview #
Icarus is flamboyant and outgoing. However, he harbors a distrust and dislike of women. Icarus is proficient in acrobatics and silk swinging. He also is proficient at fencing, which he has adapted to umbrella wielding.
